Statement of Purpose

Prepares standard journal entries for approval by Controller. Prepares reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Prepares adjusting journal entries as necessary. Prepares monthly financial reports. Completes audit work papers and assists in annual audit. Assists with preparation of budget documents.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares and inputs monthly/weekly/daily standard and general journal entries to general ledger system.

Assists in preparation for year-end audits, cost reports, and 990 by public accounting firm.

Assists in budget preparation.

Analysis of information as required.

Prepares bi-weekly payroll.

Adds new general ledger and statistical account numbers as requested.

Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations as required. Investigates and corrects all variances.

Other duties as assigned.

General office conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred. 2-3 years experience, preferably in health care setting. Must have working knowledge of electronic spreadsheets.
