$5,000 Sign-on Bonus!!

Our Clinical Supervisor oversees the treatment work implemented by the clinicians in the program, assessment, treatment planning, service delivery, documentation and accountability. Also holds clinical responsibility for the clinical aspects of the treatment milieu. The Clinical Supervisor will assume the role of Clinician for the Topsham PNMI or the Belfast PNMI, while overseeing the work of the clinicians in our other PNMIs.

SCHEDULE:
• Monday through Friday. Most Holidays and Weekends off.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Allocate sufficient time and resources to successfully orient new employees.
  • Ascertains that relevant information is reported to program manager and/or the team in a timely manner.
  • Assures it is the norm of the supervisory sessions that the majority of the time is spent on client care in the supervision process.
  • Be a role model in the use of the 5 basic principles.
  • Collaborates flexibly and responsively with the area service network on behalf of clients to support smooth access to the program, coordinated service responses, client linkage with needed community resources, and promote integration of care.
  • Completes and reviews administrative and clinical documentation with focus on accuracy, completeness, relevancy and overall quality and timeliness.
  • Demonstrates at all times the commitment to providing the least intrusive service intervention that supports the clients' needs/preferences in the least restrictive setting that supports client and staff safety.
  • Oversees clinical staff at other PNMIs.
  • Provides direct client care to Topsham PNMI.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Provide professional leadership to a multi-disciplinary team, collaborate and organize effectively, and understand and work with complex systems.
• Respond to clients, family and colleagues in a sensitive and respectful manner.
• Recognize signs of increasing clinical or situational risk and of escalating behavior and utilize de-escalation and safety implementation techniques effectively.
• Assess variables underlying stressful situations, discern methods to diffuse or contain them and quickly implement the most effective intervention.
• Apply current knowledge of the population's needs, area resources and policy requirements to supervision and intervention while continually expanding clinical and resource knowledge base.
• Provide crisis evaluations and develop/implement short-term treatment plans that are creative and specific to client needs and promote health and growth with the goal of reintegration into the community.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers and the community.
• Manage multi-task situations and conflicting demands, cope with stressful situations, prioritize projects and responsibilities, and meet critical deadlines.

EDUCATION:
• Master's degree in professional clinical discipline.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
• LCSW or LCPC
• Valid state driver's license at time of hire.

EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years post bachelor's experience in a mental health setting required.
